The Lord is my shepherd I shall not want.
Because He is my shepherd, I will lack for nothing good.
Because He is my shepherd, all my needs will be met.
Because He is my shepherd, I will be content with what I have.
The psalmist tells us the Lord is like a good shephard. And like a good shepherd he will provide for all that I truly have need. I will be content with what he has given me. He provides for my house, cars, clothes, food I eat. He keeps me warm, healthy, and safe. What more should I want?
He will also direct my circumstances. Nothing will happen that he cannot handle as long as I place myself completely in his care. Therefore like a good sheep, I will trust completely in him. I will follow him wherever he leads. I will look to him to work through the trials that come, and rely on him when the going seems to tough for me to push through. I know he is able to carry me through any difficulty.
And if I stray, he will come looking for me. He will take me up and carry me safely back home. For He loves me more than I will ever comprehend.
